Allianz appoints new chief compliance officer

Allianz Holdings has appointed Margo Young as chief compliance officer. She replaces Ann Alexander who recently retired from the business.

Young has been promoted from her previous role as deputy chief compliance officer. Most recently she supported the transfer of Allianz’s home and personal motor business to LV= as part of the joint venture, and prepared the compliance function of Allianz for the successful integration of LV= General Insurance and the General Insurance division of Legal & General.

Young joined Allianz’s UK compliance team in 2003, and during her time with the company she has completed a two year secondment with Pinsent Masons where she qualified as a solicitor. Prior to joining Allianz, she held roles in the life and pensions industry as a financial adviser and mortgage broker.

Fernley Dyson, Allianz’s chief financial officer, said: “I am delighted that Margo has taken up this new appointment. She has a wealth of experience in her field and a proven track record of delivering excellent results for our business. Her appointment demonstrates the investment we make in our people which allows us to promote from within.

“I would also like to thank Ann for the outstanding contribution she has made to our business over more than 25 years and wish her the very best for the future.”
