Allianz secures Ben Mitchell for newly created role of regional head of multinational for the Americas

Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty SE (AGCS) has created the post of regional head of multinational Americas and hired Ben Mitchell for the role, starting immediately.

Mitchell is based in Chicago and reports directly to Ole Ohlmeyer, global head of multinational who is based in Munich.

The newly created role will combine oversight of both the Global Clients Unit and Regional Practice Leader functions in the Americas region.

Before taking on the role, Mitchell had been head of the Global Clients Unit, Americas from July 2014 and originally joined Allianz in 2003. Other positions he has held at the company include head of finance planning and performance management and head of finance operations. He hold an MBA from the University of Notre Dame and a BA in finance and economics from Lewis University in Illinois.

Ohlmeyer said: “We are simplifying the multinational operational model and bringing the capabilities and knowledge of both functions closer together - on a regional level - to optimise our International Insurance Solutions (IIS) client servicing capabilities.”
