Aon Benfield appoints Peru CEO

Aon Benfield has hired Luis José Pardo, formerly of Rimac Seguros, as chief executive officer of Aon Benfield Peru.

Pardo will report to Alejandro Galizia, chief executive officer of Aon Benfield Latin America.

In this role, Pardo’s responsibilities will include driving new business growth in Peru, managing client teams, and creating and maintaining a robust business environment that is supportive to optimising client results.

Pardo has 25 years of experience in the insurance and reinsurance markets. He began his career as a loss adjuster, followed by seven years as a partner at a local insurance and reinsurance intermediary.

He then occupied several senior executive positions at major Peruvian insurance companies including Pacifico Seguros and for the last eleven years at Rimac Seguros as a senior manager of the reinsurance department.

Galizia said: “Luis José Pardo’s capability to deliver results to clients is reflected in the quality of service he has delivered over many years within the industry. We are thrilled that he will lead our Peru operation as he, and the team, will bring new solutions and value to our client base in the country in order to strengthen and grow our business. On behalf of my colleagues in Peru I welcome Luis José to the Aon Benfield team.”

Pardo added: “Joining such a prestigious firm as Aon Benfield and being appointed to this leadership role is an honour and also represents an amazing opportunity.  Together, with the support of colleagues across the world, we will build a strong local team, meeting Aon Benfield’s standards for excellence, and delivering outstanding services and value beyond our clients’ expectations.”
