Aon bolsters power practice with two new appointments

Re/insurance broker Aon has bolstered its power and renewable energy leadership with the appointments of Carol Stark and Rob Woods.

Stark will serve as the US renewable energy leader in its global power practice, while Woods will serve as managing director of power and broking in the UK Global Broking Centre (GBC).

In her new role, Stark will work with chief executive officer of global renewable energy for commercial risk solutions, Guido Benz, who will join the firm on May 1. She will be responsible for driving transformative solutions and working with clients to overcome challenges stemming from the rapidly developing renewable energy landscape. She will also work with colleagues across geographies to strengthen the firm’s global approach to energy-focused client service delivery.

Previously, Stark served as Aon’s lead engagement manager on major North American infrastructure projects as managing director.

Woods rejoins Aon, having held a number of positions with the firm over 14 years, most recently as group managing director UK & EMEA for Aon Inpoint.

He will be focused on the power business and on accelerating the development of Aon’s future broking agenda. He will work closely with James MacNeal, managing director of construction and power, as well as partner with UK GBC chief broking officer Nick Gillett.
