Apollo taps AXIS for new head of sustainability

Lloyd’s specialist re/insurer  Apollo has tapped AXIS’ London Market ESG lead to spearhead its sustainability strategy.

Wright was most recently ESG London Market lead at AXIS Capital. In this role, she oversaw senior stakeholder management, sustainable development, ESG initiatives, business strategy, as well as matrix and project management.

“Sustainability is systemic - it touches everything and everyone and it is a responsibility shared by all to make profit and purpose complementary. That was the resounding message in all the conversations leading up to my joining Apollo,” Wright said in a statement.

“For me, this role is a vocation. I am excited about partnering with my colleagues who are equally passionate, across business lines and functions as we embed and operationalise sustainability into the overall Apollo business strategy.”
