Arch beefs up claims handling with senior hires from AXIS, W/R/B and Kennedys

The international insurance arm of Bermuda-based re/insurer  Arch Capital Group has strengthened its claims expertise with a trio of senior hires from AXIS, Kennedys and W/R/B Underwriting.

Arch Insurance International has appointed Janet Brook, Sheena Hooda and Tilly Milnes as senior claims handlers.

Brook and Milnes have joined the financial institutions claims team. Milnes will focus on areas that include D&O, PI and investment manager insurance, while Brook will specialise exclusively on PI claims. Hooda will manage global healthcare claims.

Hooda joins  Arch from AXIS Capital Group, where she was a senior claims specialist. Previously, Hooda served as a senior associate at Davies Group, and a clinical claims manager at the NHS Litigation Authority.

Most recently, Brook was a senior associate at Kennedys Law, specialising in PI claims; and Milnes was a claims adjuster for W/R/B Underwriting, specialising in international D&O and FI claims. Milnes' previous experience includes claims adjuster roles at AXA, Chubb and Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty as well as a solicitor at Kennedys Law.

“Their significant technical ability and collective experience in the market, both from a claims and legal perspective, undoubtedly strengthen our claims proposition,” said Barbara Rizzi (pictured), the company’s head of third-party claims. “Their service-focused approach has also enabled us to further enhance our responsiveness to brokers and insureds.”
