Arch lifts ‘exceptional’ underwriter to head of marine hull & war
Arch Insurance International, a part of Arch Capital Group, has appointed a new head of marine hull and war.
Jason Page (pictured) has been promoted to the position following the retirement of Mark Watters.
In his new role, Page is responsible for managing underwriting activities across a worldwide portfolio spanning sectors including ship-owners of both blue and brown water tonnage, construction and repair yards, yachts and a significant portfolio of marine war. Based in London, he will report to Jake Gibbs, head of marine & energy.
Most recently, Page was a senior underwriter within the marine hull & war team, having joined Arch in 2020. Prior to that, he was a senior underwriter, head of marine & war at Markel, a company which he joined in 2000.
Gibbs said: “Jason’s promotion to Head of Marine Hull & War is very much a natural transition. He is an exceptional underwriter who combines technical expertise with a customer service-focused approach to building long-term broker relationships. I look forward to working with him to further elevate our relevance to our brokers and market standing.
