Argo appoints LatAm CUO from Willis Towers Watson
Bermuda-based Argo Group, an international underwriter of specialty insurance and reinsurance, has appointed Manuel Moreno to the newly created position of chief underwriting officer (CUO) of Latin America.
In this role, Moreno will be responsible for the strategy and execution of all underwriting operations within the Latin America market. Moreno will report to Jorge Cazar, head of Latin America at Argo Group.
Previously, Moreno worked at Willis Towers Watson as energy regional industry leader for Latin America. Prior to that, he served as vice president of energy and engineered risk of AIG's Latin America operations.
“Manuel is an exceptional individual with the skills to support Argo in our ongoing expansion in Latin America,” said Cazar. “Our operations in the region have grown as we continuously identify opportunities to expand our footprint in this market. Manuel’s experience will prove invaluable, and I look forward to working with him.”
