Aspen COO and president to step down as CEO decides to split role

The president of international insurance and global COO at Aspen Insurance, Ann Haugh, will be stepping down from her role and leaving the company.

Aspen said that Haugh was leaving the company to "pursue other opportunities".

Steve Postlewhite, who was appointed CEO of Aspen Insurance in May, has decided to split the roles of COO and president of international insurance into two roles.

Postlewhite believes it was neither feasible nor practical to have one person undertaking both positions.

Haugh served in her role at Aspen Insurance for three years, prior to which she served as global chief underwriting officer (CUO) and COO.

Prior to Aspen, she served as group chief of staff for Zurich Insurance Group.

Aspen will provide future details of how the roles will be filled in the coming weeks.
