Aurora launches AXIS-backed specialist cover for UK SMEs

Aurora, a new digital commercial insurance platform for micro, small and medium-sized businesses, has launched its initial offering in the UK market with the backing of insurer  AXIS.

The firm has gone live with a global specialist health product for the UK SMEs. New products covering group personal accident, business interruption, professional indemnity, public liability, employers’ liability and property insurance for SMEs are next in line to be rolled out.

Global Specialist Health, backed by insurer Axis, provides SME businesses with comprehensive cover to support their employees and immediate family in dealing with major oncological, neurological and cardiological conditions, as well as transplants.

The cover provides employees with access to Precision Medicine, and expert international medical assistance from initial diagnosis through to treatment. The ‘medical concierge’ service also covers accommodation and travel costs for the patient and a loved one if they need to travel abroad to access the best possible treatment for their diagnosis.

The product is available to SMEs directly through Aurora’s new platform, as well as via selected brokers, initially through WTW Networks.
