French insurer AXA has appointed Irina Buchmann as president and CEO of AXA ART Americas, a provider of specialized insurance for artworks and collectables.
Buchmann has previously held leadership positions in several European countries, including the corporate headquarters of the AXA Group in strategy, finance and risk management functions.
Since May 2017, Buchmann has supported the IPO of AXA Equitable Holdings where she is responsible for coordinating the French and US based teams. She joined AXA in 2002 and supported the group's key strategic initiatives in Germany, Belgium and Paris including the acquisition and integration of the Winterthur Group. Buchmann also held several board positions across Europe with AXA Bank Europe and its affiliates.
