AXA transforms holding company into group’s internal reinsurer

Re/insurer  AXA’s holding company has completed its planned transformation into the group’s internal reinsurer following its merger with its captive reinsurer  AXA Global Re.

The completion of the merger with  AXA Global Re follows the receipt of customary regulatory clearances.

Under the plan,  AXA SA will reinsure for 2022 certain of its European P&C carriers, through annually renewable 25% quota-share reinsurance treaties, with retroactive effect to January 1, 2022.
