AXA XL swipes Swiss Re leader for top reinsurance role

AXA XL Reinsurance has hired a Swiss Re leader as new chief financial officer (CFO) of reinsurance.

Claudia Ingenhoven (Pictured) will take up the role in the second week of February 2023.

Ingenhoven has held a number of executive positions at Swiss Re, most recently as CEO of Glacier Reinsurance (Catalina), and CFO of iptiQ EMEA P&C (Swiss Re). Prior to joining Swiss Re, she also spent time working within the AXA group as an executive committee and board member of AXA Liabilities Managers across a wide number of different jurisdictions including France, Germany, Malaysia, Switzerland, UAE, UK and the USA.

AXA XL Reinsurance CEO Nancy Bewlay said: “With her Executive experience, knowledge of the AXA group, global expertise and financial background, Claudia will be an asset to our business.  Claudia will work with me as part of the reinsurance leadership team to drive the growth of our business to achieve our goal of sustainable profitability.”
