AXIS hires data scientist from Zurich to boost analytics capabilities

AXIS Insurance, a part of AXIS Capital Holdings, has hired an executive from Zurich North America to implement advanced data and analytics capabilities.

Meghan Anzelc joins as vice president, data and analytics, from Zurich North America, where she managed a team of 40 data scientists who were responsible for integrating predictive analytics capabilities across the company’s underwriting and claims functions.

In her new role, Anzelc, a trained physicist and data scientist, will be responsible for implementing a strategy and roadmap to expand AXIS’ data and analytics capabilities.

"Meghan is an accomplished data scientist and a proven leader with a strong understanding of the specialty insurance space – she is the ideal candidate to help take AXIS Insurance’s data and analytics strategy to the next level," said Brian Kemp, executive vice president and chief pricing actuary, AXIS Insurance.

"Guided by Meghan’s leadership, we will further build upon our efforts to employ advanced data-driven decision making and analytics capabilities to enhance our products and services and deliver even more value to our clients."
