Barbican Insurance has appointed Chris White as underwriting manager of the firm’s energy division. He will report to David Booth, the active underwriter of Syndicate 1955.
White has over 30 years of underwriting experience in the Lloyd’s market. Prior to joining Barbican, he was head of the global energy practice at Chaucer. He joined the firm in 1992, rising to the position of energy underwriter in 2002, before taking the helm of Chaucer’s energy operations in 2008.

Chris White is one of the most experienced underwriters in the energy market with an outstanding reputation. His appointment is a significant boost to our growth strategy in the sector.”
