Berkshire Hathaway Specialty names US FI business leaders
Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance (BHSI) has promoted Sachin Warty and Chris Polechronis to lead its US financial institutions (FI) business.
Warty has been named head of FI for the Central and West region, and Polechronis for the East region.
The duo will be responsible for BHSI’s US financial institutions portfolio, which includes a suite of management liability, professional liability, employment practices liability, fiduciary liability, crime protection and executive impersonation coverages.
Warty joined BHSI in 2013 as assistant vice president, financial institutions. Prior to that, he was financial institutions zonal leader at CNA and underwriter at Travelers Insurance. He will be based in BHSI's Chicago office.
Polechronis came to BHSI in 2014, most recently holding the role of vice president, executive and professional lines, financial institutions. Before BHSI, he spent more than a decade at Chubb, and was an assistant vice president and asset management unit manager. He will be based in BHSI's New York office.
“Sachin and Chris have been integral to the growth of our Executive & Professional Lines portfolio and building our strong relationships with financial institutions and brokers nationwide. We are pleased to now elevate their roles and the impact they can have on our customers, our brokers and our marketplace,” said David Bresnahan, executive vice president of BHSI.
