Berkshire’s BHSI hires casualty leader in Switzerland
Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance (BHSI), a wholly owned subsidiary of Warren Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway, has hired a head of casualty in Switzerland.
Pascal Carrer has joined the company with nearly 30 years of insurance underwriting and risk management experience.
Carrer was most recently head of corporate risk & insurance management at Hoerbiger Holding AG. He is based in Zurich.
BHSI has been growing its team in Zurich and expanding its local underwriting, which currently includes property, casualty, and executive & professional lines.
Leander Metzger, country manager in Switzerland, BHSI, said: “I am excited to welcome Pascal to our leadership team in Switzerland.
