BMS brings Swiss Re expert to drive capital markets expansion
Global specialist re/insurance broker BMS Group has hired a head of US capital advisory business and the CEO of BMS Capital Advisory from Swiss Re Capital Markets, where he led the company’s structuring activities in the Americas.
Andras Bohm (pictured) has joined BMS Group, where he will be responsible for leading the broker’s investment banking and legacy solutions team in New York, working with his UK and Bermuda counterparts and will report to BMS Re CEO, Pete Chandler.
Bohm joins us from Swiss Re Capital Markets, where he led the team’s structuring activities in the Americas. Over the past decade, Bohm has supported clients in executing more than 70 transactions with a total amount of over $15bn. These transactions range across advisory, capital raising and structuring insurance linked securities which have received several industry awards within the reinsurance sector.
Chandler said: “Andras has an impressive track record which speaks for itself and brings a wealth of capital solution experience spanning across insurance, reinsurance and more. As the incoming CEO of BMS Capital Advisory Inc, he will play a crucial role in helping us to continue delivering industry-leading bespoke solutions for clients, and drive forward our expansion strategy.”
