CAC Specialty taps WTW talent for private equity expansion

Specialty insurance brokerage and investment banking business  CAC Specialty has expanded its private equity team with the hiring of a senior M&A business development executive from Willis Towers Watson.

Tom O’Leary will join  CAC’s team in a business development role and support the expansion of  CAC Specialty’s private equity business into Dallas and the broader Texas market.

O’Leary has nearly a decade of insurance industry experience, most recently serving as a vice president of M&A and business development with Willis Towers Watson. During his tenure, he advised on hundreds of private equity transactions with a focus on due diligence, transactional risk solutions and post-close insurance brokerage services.

“We are excited to bring Tom to our Private Equity team and have him lead our Dallas private equity strategies,” said Mike Rice, CEO of  CAC Specialty. “Tom has shown talent beyond his years and will be an integral part of our team, helping grow our PE relationships in Dallas for years to come.”

David Payne, chief revenue officer of  CAC Specialty, added: “ CAC is focused on finding the best talent in the industry to serve our private equity clients.  Tom’s ability to bring traditional and non-traditional risk transfer solutions to his clients will change the paradigm of risk transfer in the Dallas and broader Texas marketplace.”

O’Leary commented: “I cannot wait to get started with the talented team at  CAC Specialty. I am excited to lead, develop and expand a talented group and cement  CAC as a force in the Texas market.”
