Canopius to create new technology-focused roles in UK

Global specialty re/insurer  Canopius Group is to launch a new hub in Manchester, UK, wholly focused on technology and data, to support its ambition of becoming a “future-focused” business. The establishment will result in the creation of several new technology-focused roles at Canopius.

The hub will begin operating early next year, and develop advanced solutions within the data and technology sphere.

Canopius said Manchester is the “perfect location” to launch its Tech & Data Hub, being the second largest UK centre for financial services and home to many talented data and technology professionals.

Kate Roy (Pictured), group chief operating officer, said: “Canopius has been making significant strides within the technology and data field over the past few years, and the creation of the Hub is the latest example of our investment in our digital capabilities.

“The establishment of this new entity aligns with Canopius’ recent commitment to focus on technology and data and to making it a central part of our offering. I am very much looking forward to the opening of the Hub and being able to work collaboratively with the team in Manchester.”
