CCR Re taps AXA XL veteran to lead Southern Europe and LatAm expansion

French government-backed reinsurer CCR Re has recruited AXA XL's Emmanuel Jacquemin to spearhead its expansion in the Latin American and Southern European markets.

Jacquemin joins CCR Re as head of underwriting treaties for Southern Europe and Latin America where he has been running AXA XL operations in Bogota since 2014.

With more than 20 years of experience, he began his career at SOCAM, prior to joining XL Re Europe then AXA XL where he held the positions of director of underwriting for Latin America and chief executive officer of AXA XL Reinsurance Colombia.

Bertrand Labilloy, chairman and chief executive officer of CCR Re, said: "I am delighted that Emmanuel is joining CCR Re as we will benefit from his strong experience and seniority to spearhead our ambitions in Southern Europe and Latin America."
