Chaucer hires from Qatar Re to expand treaty business in growing markets

Speciality insurer Chaucer has hired Rajeev Menon as regional treaty underwriter for Asia, MENA and the Indian-Sub-Continent from reinsurer Qatar Re.

Menon is a treaty underwriter with over 18 years of industry experience. He joins Chaucer from Qatar Re, where he was responsible for developing their treaty portfolio for the Asian and MENA regions. Prior to that, he was with Hannover Re in Bahrain and Swiss Re in India.

Margaret To, CEO at Chaucer Singapore, commented: “Developing our treaty presence through in-depth understanding of client exposures and the ability to deliver tailored solutions is an important strategic goal for Chaucer. Rajeev’s knowledge, insight and experience across multiple regions will support us in achieving this.”
