Chaucer’s long-serving CEO of Australia unit exits

Specialist Lloyd’s re/insurance group  Chaucer’s long-serving chief executive of its Australian unit is leaving the business after 25-years of service, it has revealed.

Brad French (pictured), CEO of SLE Holdings, known in the market as SLE Worldwide Australia, will be leaving the business at the end of the year.

Chaucer said the replacement CEO will be announced in due course, with Simon Rice, chairman of SLE Holdings, providing additional support during the transition period.

Chaucer acquired SLE, an underwriting agency and Lloyd’s coverholder based in Sydney, Australia in 2017. SLE writes a broad range of specialty property and casualty products, with a focus on the sports, leisure and entertainment markets.

John Fowle, CEO of Chaucer Group, said: “Brad’s contribution to SLE in his 25 years with the firm cannot be overstated. Under Brad’s leadership SLE has become a recognised leader for product innovation, broker-friendly technology and customer service. We thank him for his service and wish him well for the future.”
