Clyde & Co launches medical malpractice offering in Spain

Law firm Clyde & Co is launching a medical malpractice offering in Spain with the hiring of Isabel Burón as partner and four other executives in its Madrid office and healthcare group.

Clyde & Co’s healthcare team advises on medical malpractice and product liability claims, judicial reviews and criminal prosecutions. In addition, it advises on a broad range of issues including inquests, mental capacity/best interest cases, treatment decisions, governance, complaints, data protection/information sharing, Freedom of Information requests and regulatory matters.

Burón is a healthcare lawyer with experience in handling complex medical malpractice claims and professional negligence matters. Her practice focuses predominantly on personal injury, with a significant emphasis on medical malpractice and professional indemnity. She represents insurers and healthcare professionals before the civil, criminal and administrative courts.

Also joining Clyde & Co are Katia Alvaro, with over 20 years' experience in the field; Emilia de Leon, Javier Puig and Alberto Lezaun.
