CNA Europe appoints chief underwriting officer
CNA Insurance Company Limited (CNA Europe) has announced the appointment of John Taylor to the newly-created role of chief underwriting officer.
As chief underwriting officer, he will oversee CNA Europe’s underwriting across marine, casualty, property and financial lines, as well as the company’s specialist offerings in technology and renewable energy.
Taylor joined CNA Europe in 2006, leading its Financial Lines business before his remit was widened to include overall underwriting responsibilities for its specialty lines operations. He has spent over 25 years in the insurance market, including spells at Chubb and Willis.
“As we continue to pursue profitable growth throughout Europe, John’s understanding of the underwriting environment in all our markets will be a huge benefit to our business,” said John Hennessy, chief executive officer of CNA Europe.
