CNA Hardy appoints Marsh exec into senior specialty role

CNA Hardy has appointed a vice president, head of specialty (UK & Continental Europe).

Ariel Berman will report to Jalil Ur Rehman, president and CEO of CNA Hardy and Steve Goldman, senior vice president, underwriting (Financial Lines, Healthcare and Affinity) of CNA.

Berman has served in senior positions at AIG and, most recently, at Marsh where he held the position of Head of Financial Institutions Division – FINPRO.

Rehman commented: “Ariel brings strong leadership, deep technical expertise as well as considerable multi-jurisdictional knowledge and the broader experience of working in both underwriting and broking. Ariel will be a great asset to our company and I am delighted to welcome him to CNA Hardy.”

Goldman added: “We are very excited that Ariel is joining CNA Hardy as Head of Specialty.  His experience, technical acumen, work ethic and market relationships will continue to advance the CNA Hardy Specialty business meaningfully.”
