CoreLogic releases new cat platform and risk models

CoreLogic, a global property information, analytics and data-enabled services provider, has released an updated version of its EQECAT natural catastrophe modelling platform, with three new proprietary risk models.

CoreLogic has added Japanese quake and tsunami, Singapore quake and European windstorm, including a first of its kind offshore wind farm risk model, to its product offering.

The modelling platform contains 180 natural hazard models across 96 countries, with loss calculations simulating 300,000 years of losses in order to deliver “comprehensive and highly credible estimates of risk exposure to earthquakes, tropical cyclones and windstorms, severe convective storms, brushfires, winter storms and flooding,” said the company.
