Dale chief hands over active underwriter role to ex-MS Amlin Peters

Lloyd's syndicate Dale Underwriting Partners has hired former MS Amlin reinsurance CUO Dominic Peters as active underwriter for Syndicate 1729.

Peters takes over the role from Duncan Dale, who has served as active underwriter since 2014 and remains chief executive of the company.

Peters served as the chief underwriting officer of MS Amlin's reinsurance business before leaving the company late last year.

Dale said: “Dom is a great addition to our talented team. He brings a wealth of experience and expertise. We are delighted to welcome him to our business at a pivotal time in the industry and look forward very much to working with him to continue to build our business and serve our clients and brokers.”

Peters added: "I am very excited to be joining Dale Underwriting Partners and the team at Syndicate 1729 and SPA 6131. As an owner-managed and focused business it is very attractive to join the high-calibre underwriting team and culture that DUP has created, and I hope to continue to attract dynamic and entrepreneurial talent to help in building the business in its next phase of development.

“Duncan has always strongly advocated providing a first class underwriting service to clients and brokers around the world, focused on risk selection, client solutions and embedding the entire team in the underwriting process. I am thrilled by the opportunity to enhance the excellent service, product expertise and commitment to deliver tailored solutions to clients and brokers alike alongside innovative products and processes.”
