Dubai MGA Elseco expands aviation portfolio with Allied World hire
Elseco, the fintech specialty insurance underwriting platform headquartered at the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), has expanded its aviation capabilities and book of business with the appointment of Olivier Marre.
Marre joined the Lloyd's coverholder from Allied World, where he most recently served as senior vice president of aviation insurance. Prior to that, Marre was with Markel International.
As the head of aviation, Marre will be based in Elseco's new London office and lead a team of aviation underwriters, including airline and general aviation specialists Gareth Small and Darren Shearwood.
"This is an extremely exciting time in the development of Elseco, already world leader in space underwriting and creator of bespoke innovative fintech products," said Laurent Lemaire, chairman and CEO of Elseco.
"This latest development on aviation lines allows us to continue to diversify our portfolios and offer best in class coverage to our clients. I am delighted to welcome on board Olivier who has an outstanding understanding of the Aviation Industry and its insurance needs."
Marre remarked: "I am looking forward to developing the Elseco Aviation book further. The company has a unique entrepreneur mind-set and, against a potentially difficult and challenging market, I am convinced we are finding ways to provide our clients with new innovative and beneficial products and solutions."
