EC3 Brokers establishes US property wholesale division

EC3 Brokers has launched a London-based US property wholesale division, with the appointment of three key team members. Matthew Jeffery has been appointed managing director and David and Daniel Jeffery have been appointed divisional directors. The brothers, who joined EC3 Brokers at the end of last year, will report to James Murphy, head of broking at EC3 Brokers.

Combined, they have more than 40 years’ experience producing and placing large complex risks into Lloyd’s, London and European company markets and the international reinsurance markets with a focus on North American and international property.

Having worked as a team for several years in the US property division at Besso Insurance, the brothers will now lead the US property wholesale division at EC3 Brokers with the intention of expanding into the international insurance and reinsurance markets.

Matthew Jeffery said: “EC3 Brokers is a young, dynamic, independent broker whose long-term growth plans align closely with our own. We’re excited to use the platform they have given us to establish and grow out their US property division. It’s not often you get the chance to develop a team from the beginning.”

Danny Driscoll, CEO, added: “US property wholesale is a key growth area for EC3 Brokers as we expand our product offerings to our clients and further afield. Matthew, David and Daniel have a vast array of experience and knowledge in this sector and I look forward to working with them as we continue to grow and attract top talent.”
