Ecclesiastical boosts board with Goldman Sachs hire

Specialist insurance group Ecclesiastical has appointed Caroline Taylor as director to the board of the group’s insurance business Ecclesiastical Insurance Office.

Taylor was at Goldman Sachs Asset Management where she was global head of fundamental Equity execution, where she built and managed the global portfolio construction and trading team, and then the global fundamental equity chief operating officer.

Before joining Goldman Sachs in 1998, she held several senior positions in asset management and trading including at Gartmore Investment Management.

Taylor is currently a non-executive director at Brewin Dolphin Holdings and has previously held directorships at Goldman Sachs Luxembourg and Dublin based SICAV Funds and Goldman Sachs Asset Management International.

Will Samuel, Ecclesiastical’s chairman, said: “I am delighted Caroline is joining the board. She brings to Ecclesiastical a wealth of experience of high profile local and global project delivery and extensive, in-depth knowledge of risk, investment management and the global regulatory landscape. Caroline will add considerable value to the Group and look forward to working with her.”
