Ed appoints CEO of MENA and Indian business

Re/insurance broker Ed said on Sept. 19 that it appointed Minesh Jani as chief executive of Middle East and North Africa (MENA), India and Indian sub-continent.

Jani joins Ed from Aashvaasanam Analytics Limited in Mumbai, a business which he founded to support the launch and build of an international reinsurance business. Prior to this Minesh led the treaty reinsurance business in India for the Willis Group with its local partners AlmondzBrokers.

Minesh said: “This is a great opportunity for me to work in a truly global capacity and I am excited to explore the avenues for developing business and to take Ed to new heights within the region."

Steve Hearn, group CEO of Ed said: “Minesh is the ideal candidate to lead the expansion of our MENA, Indian and Indian sub-continent business. He joins with an exceptional track record and his expertise is indicative of our philosophy. He brings a level of local market understanding which will increasingly become a key aspect which differentiates Ed from its peers. I am delighted to welcome Minesh to the team.”
