Equinox Global hires UK head

Lloyd’s coverholder Equinox Global has appointed Nick King as head of UK and Ireland.

He will be based in London and he will report to Mike Holley, chief executive.

King joins from Travis Perkins, where he served as group credit director. His previous senior management experience includes roles at Brightpoint Europe, NACCO Materials Handling Group and Atlas Copco Compressors.

Holley said: “Nick’s appointment represents an important step change in the scale, pace and service quality of our UK business. Nick will bring invaluable experience, particularly of the construction and distribution industries, and his service on the boards of our industry’s trade bodies will bring an important additional dimension to our growing business. I am very much looking forward to working with Nick as he takes up the lead responsibility in the UK.”
