Fortitude Re strikes ‘significant’ reinsurance deals in international expansion move
Bermuda-based multi-line reinsurer Fortitude Re has concluded two reinsurance transactions in Japan as part of its international expansion strategy.
The transactions involve Japanese life insurance companies. The cedants will continue to service and administer the reinsured policies.
Both block reinsurance deals, executed through one of Fortitude Re’s Bermuda-based subsidiaries, Fortitude International Reinsurance, are comprised of whole life insurance policies.
