Fusion Specialty beefs up US team with trio of senior hires

Fusion Specialty Americas has strengthened its representations and warranties (R&W) capabilities in the US with senior appointments from Great American, Atlantic Global Risk and Alterra Mountain.

Natasha Richard joins as senior partner, M&A.  Based in Los Angeles, she has more than 25 years of insurance industry experience. Richard joins from Great American Insurance Company where she was divisional executive vice president.  Prior to that, Richard spent eight years at RLI where she managed a team of M&A and tax underwriters and was responsible for proactive marketing and profitable growth for various liability products.

Renay Gosen joins as senior associate, M&A. Previously, she worked as a broker at Atlantic Global Risk, specialising in facilitating deal execution across various sectors, both nationally and internationally. Gosen’s background includes  experience in M&A tax at KPMG, providing clients with tax consulting on mergers and acquisitions and strategic tax planning.  Gosen is based in New York City.

Michelle Yohe joins as senior associate, underwriting & legal operations support. She has nearly 20 years of legal experience, having previously worked across a range of industries with a focus on litigation, including claims management and M&A transactions. She joins from Alterra Mountain Company where she served as senior paralegal and contracts manager and before that she worked for Circle K as a legal affairs manager. Yohe’s hire further bolsters Fusion’s in-house claims handling team, as Michelle works hand-in-hand with Michael Mora, Fusion’s managing partner, M&A and head of claims. Yohe is based in the Greater Philadelphia area.

All will report to Michael Federer, CEO, Fusion, who said: “I am delighted to welcome Natasha, Renay and Michelle to Fusion. Their combined wealth of experience and expertise ensures top-tier service for our clients, which is of paramount importance. This marks an exciting phase for Fusion in North America, underscoring the success of our strategic positioning and dedication to pioneering solutions that bridge the M&A and specialty insurance risk gap protection for SMEs.

“Our business has experienced rapid growth in all phases of our RWI, MioTM, contingent and excess tax lines and we only expect such growth to continue.  Natasha, Renay and Michelle position us to continue to provide best-in-class support for our clients on a scale reflective of the geographic diversity of our clients.”
