Global Aerospace appoints group general counsel

Aircraft insurer Global Aerospace has appointed Michael Dobson as group general counsel to succeed Stephen Walsh who will be retiring from Global Aerospace on January 22, 2020. Dobson will join the company on the same date.

Dobson began his legal career in South Africa before moving to England, where he re-qualified and worked in the insurance/reinsurance practice of Clyde & Co.

He has since held a number of senior claims positions in the London insurance market, including at Hiscox, Travelers and Aviva, during which time he gained experience handling complex claims in a variety of jurisdictions. He joins Global Aerospace from Aon where he was a director in their Professional Services Group.
