Great American promotes exec to VP and chief actuary

Great American Insurance Group, the property/casualty insurance firm, has promoted Lisa Hays to vice president and chief actuary of Great American’s Property and Casualty Group, succeeding John Doellman, who will retire in May 2016. Hays has more than 25 years of industry experience in the areas of pricing, reserving, reinsurance, product management, strategic planning, and predictive analytics. She was previously divisional senior vice president for Great American Insurance Group, a role she had been in since May 2012. Before that, she held roles at Liberty Mutual Insurance and Ohio Casualty Group. She also previously worked for Great American Insurance from 1989-1998, holding various actuarial positions.
