Guy Carpenter taps Willis ILS expert to boost capital markets capabilities

Guy Carpenter & Company, a global risk and reinsurance specialist and a business of Marsh McLennan, has hired an insurance-linked securities specialist from  Willis Re to help expand its capital markets capabilities.

Quentin Perrot (pictured) has joined the broker as managing director of GC Securities.

Perrot brings extensive expertise across a broad spectrum of ILS and collateralised products to the role and has developed numerous innovative solutions that have helped expand the market’s potential. He joins from Willis Re Securities where he was most recently senior vice president and head of the European ILS team. Perrot joined Willis in 2014, and prior to that, was a structurer of ILS products at BNP Paribas Bank.

In his new role, Perrot will be responsible for the origination and structuring of insurance-linked securities, collateralised structures, and alternative capital, supporting clients from around the world including Bermuda, US and Europe. Based in London, he will report to Shiv Kumar, president of GC Securities.

Kumar said: “We are very pleased to welcome Quentin to the GC Securities team. As our clients expand the use of alternative capital and insurance-linked securitization, Quentin’s extensive structuring experience and relationships in this space will provide Guy Carpenter a key competitive advantage.”
