Hamilton picks Munich Re veteran for specialty leadership role in US following departure

Hamilton Insurance Group has appointed a 16-year Munich Re veteran, with overall 35 years of specialty insurance and reinsurance industry experience, for a top role in the US.

Anita Kuchma (Pictured) joins Hamilton as chief executive officer at Hamilton Select, its US excess and surplus (E&S) lines insurer.

Kuchma will report to Group CEO Pina Albo and replaces Clay Rhoades who is no longer with the organisation.

Kuchma has spent the past 16 years in numerous underwriting, financial, strategic and operational roles of increasing seniority at Munich Re America.

“Having worked with Anita in the past, I am pleased to welcome her to Hamilton’s Executive Team,” said Albo. “The breadth and depth of her know-how and expertise, as well as her proven leadership, will prove instrumental as we continue to build out Hamilton Select, a key pillar of the Company’s strategy, at this exciting time in the market.”
