Hamilton Re appoints senior VP to head information systems

Bermuda-based Hamilton Re has appointed Matthew Isaly to the newly-created position of senior vice president, head of information systems.

Isaly has over two decades of experience in the property and casualty insurance industry, working across multiple markets in the US, Canada, Bermuda and London.

Prior to joining Hamilton, he was the head of product strategy in North America for Xuber software, and has held several senior positions at Xuber (now a part of CSC) for last 13 years. He has also worked for Houston Casualty in the past.

At Hamilton Re, Isaly will report to chief financial officer Vanessa Hardy Pickering, and will be tasked to develop company’s core information systems and execute the Bermuda operation’s IT vision along with its management team. He will also be responsible for leading the development, integration and implementation of core technologies.

Hardy Pickering said: “Hamilton Re aims to lead the way in leveraging data science and analytics to assess and price risk.”

“As we continue our build-out of the technology capabilities that will support this goal, we’re delighted to have someone with the calibre of Matt’s breadth and depth of technology experience on our team.”
