Hamilton Re co-founder departs

Claude Lefebvre, chief underwriting officer, partnerships & casualty reinsurance at Hamilton Re and co-founder of the company is leaving the firm “to pursue other interests,” according to a company statement.

Lefebvre was a founding member of Hamilton Re, the Bermuda platform of Hamilton Insurance Group. He has agreed to stay on in his current capacity until the end of March to facilitate an orderly transition, after which he will remain available to the company while completing his period of garden leave.

“Claude’s role in founding and building Hamilton Re has been meaningful,” said Hamilton Re CEO Kathleen Reardon. “He was instrumental in assisting us in building a market reputation for superior client service.”

“Hamilton is grateful for Claude’s many contributions to Hamilton Re over the past six years and we wish him the best in his future endeavours.”
