HDI Global appoints marine underwriting manager in Perth

HDI Global SE, Australia (HDI Global) has appointed an experienced marine underwriter to the new role of marine underwriting manager, Western Region.

Andrew Perry has over twenty years marine underwriting experience and has served in senior roles at several well-known marine insurers.

“Andrew’s extensive marine experience and strong market following will complement both the Australian and international HDI Global marine teams,” said Joel Mitchell, marine underwriting manager Australasia.

“Marine is a key growth area for us here in Western Australia, and I am really pleased to have someone of Andrew’s calibre joining us,” added David Gibbs, underwriting manager, Western Australia. “His experience and market presence will enable us to strengthen our service proposition within the local market, as we continue to cement our local presence as a leading industrial insurer.”
Perry commences his role with HDI Global on May 10 2021 based in the company’s Perth office, and will report to David Gibbs, underwriting manager, Western Australia.
