HSB appoints director of business development and distribution

Munich Re-owned specialist engineering and construction insurer HSB Engineering Insurance (HSB) has appointed Terry Dyson as director of business development and distribution, with immediate effect.

Dyson will be leading HSB’s business development team with a focus on further strengthening HSB’s distribution strategies and relationships with brokers, MGAs and insurer partners.

He joins HSB from Travelers, where he was working as a regional distribution manager. Prior to Travelers, Dyson worked for RSA for 32 years, where he held various business development roles including UK business development director.

Dyson said: “I am extremely excited to be joining HSB; a company whose reputation as a specialist engineering and technology insurer is second to none. I look forward to working with the team to strengthen HSB’s distribution strategy and customer relationships.”

Stephen Worrall, managing director of HSB, added: “We are very pleased to have Terry joining the team at HSB; he brings huge amounts of industry experience and customer insight that will help support our business strategy and growth ambitions.”
