Insurtech Artificial launches cross-discipline project using machine learning to develop ‘future of insurance software’

London-based insurtech, called Artificial, has launched the  Artificial Beta Community project to shape the future of insurance software by uniting underwriters, brokers and MGAs with the company’s own team of data and machine learning experts.

The company uses machine learning to allow insurers to leverage their data and create a “frictionless user experience”. Software will be developed using feedback from experts at the heart of the insurance industry and the insurtech’s team which includes experienced data scientists, actuaries and the former international COO of Direct Line.

Johnny Bridges, chief production officer and founder at Artificial, said: “This is a very exciting project for us. The Artificial Beta Community will bring collaboration and discussion – something that is commonplace in many other industries but lacks in ours – into the world of insurance, where traditional systems and processes have been holding businesses back.

“We believe that by deeply understanding issues and frustrations faced by real users, we can provide better user experiences for all. Helping to push the entire industry forward is our aim – we can’t wait to see a more progressive and frictionless marketplace.

“Our roundtable discussions and workshops will give insurers the chance to make their voices heard and, alongside our team of designers, engineers, data science and actuarial experts, we’ll actually solve real problems and bring fresh ideas to fruition.”
