JLT Re ropes in Chaucer treaty underwriter in Miami

JLT Re has appointed Ariel Hernandez as senior vice president in Miami. Hernandez joins from the Chaucer Syndicates of The Hanover Insurance Group, where he was a treaty underwriter.

Hernandez will join JLT Re's treaty team and lead the analytics efforts for the Caribbean, Central America and broader Latin America Region.

Prior to Chaucer, Hernandez worked at Swiss Re America Corporation as vice president, client manager and market underwriter, focusing on delivering reinsurance solutions to clients in the region.

Commenting on the appointment, Ed Hochberg, chief executive officer, JLT Re (North America), said: “We are pleased to welcome Ariel to JLT Re.
