JLT Re taps Guy Carpenter SVP to grow credit and political risk

Reinsurance broker and consultant JLT Re has hired Stephen Balderston to join its credit and political risk team as a partner, based in London office.

Balderston joins JLT Re after eight years at Guy Carpenter where he was a senior vice president in credit, bond and political risk treaty reinsurance. Prior to that, he was at RK Carvill.

Nick Jay, divisional head, marine, energy and political risk, JLT Re, said: "Stephen is one of three recent appointments to our Credit & Political Risk team and proof that our platform continues to attract best in class professionals."
