JLT Specialty USA poaches specie broker from Willis

The US subsidiary of broker Jardine Lloyd Thompson Group (JLT) has appointed Paul Cohen as senior vice president to build its global fine art, jewellery and specie practice, based in Orange County, California.

Cohen joins from Willis Towers Watson where he managed the California fine art, jewellery and specie team. He has over 20 years of experience in providing specie insurance services for the diamond, jewellery and watch industries, and is a recognised specialist in the industry.

David Gordon, chief executive officer (CEO) of JLT’s specie, fine art and jewellery practice, said: “We are happy to announce Paul’s appointment and thrilled to welcome him to the JLT team as we continue to invest in our growing fine art, jewellery and specie practice.
