Landmark adds property capability within London Market

UK-based specialist managing general agent (MGA)  Landmark has announced a new property binding authority with  AmTrust International for excess re/insurance business introducing A- rated capacity into the UK marketplace.

The business will be written by Andrew Ravenscroft and the Landmark team.

Landmark commenced writing on June 1, 2023 and the product will sit alongside Landmark’s existing PI and D&O products to further diversify the company.

David Ratledge, managing director of Landmark, said: “We are a specialist MGA and we are delighted to begin the next phase of our strategy with the addition of a property capability within the London Market; we look forward to delivering on our promises to AmTrust, our brokers and our (re)insureds.”

Ravenscroft, head of property, said: “I am very excited about this new offering and brings much-needed capacity into this space; the rating environment is strong in UK property in our preferred areas of excess layer insurance and fac reinsurance.”
