Liberty Mutual plucks casualty guru from Axis Re for top global role
Liberty Mutual Insurance plucked a casualty insurance leader from Axis Re to step in as global product leader for its casualty line, filling in after the recently announced retirement of Noel MacCarthy.
Allison Janisch will be tasked with leading and enhancing the global casualty line in Liberty’s Global Risk Solutions business (GRS). She will lead the product planning process and set global strategy to hit a consistent view to risk.
Janisch arrives from Axis Re in Zurich where she’s held casualty leadership roles for more than a decade, most recently as global head of casualty, and previously as head of casualty for Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
The president of underwriting at GRS, Matthew Moore, commented: “Allison takes on a vital role that I know she will excel in because of her leadership and experience in global casualty underwriting. Her market-leading technical intelligence, strategic thinking and focus on underwriting success will be vital in driving our ambitions forward.”
