Liberty Specialty Markets hires QBE exec to boost its Italy ops

Liberty Specialty Markets, part of  Liberty Mutual Insurance Group, has appointed a new business development manager for its Italy unit, based in Milan.

Simone Jurina (pictured) will be responsible for all aspects of business development including market engagement and broker relationship management. He reports to Antonio Sacchi, general manager, Liberty Specialty Markets Italy.

Jurina joins from QBE Insurance where he was market manager for its Italian branch. He has 15 years of industry experience, in business development and underwriting.

Sacchi said: “I am delighted to welcome Simone to LSM.  He brings a wealth of market knowledge, a powerful ‘can do’ attitude and a strong team ethos. He will contribute to shaping LSM’s profile in Italy and achieving our ambitious growth goals, both here and in Continental Europe.”
